Women's Royal Air Force WW1

A group of women from the Women's Royal Air Force sit in front of a Handley Page 0/400 twin-engined bomber. Members of the WRAF began as drivers and clerks, but were soon trained as aircraft riggers, fitters, mechanics and electricians. Formed in April 1918, the WRAF had almost 25, 000 women working on RAF bases by the end of the war
