1st Engineer Special Brigade Monument, inaugurated November 11th 1944 by Colonel Caffey, the brigadea's commanding officer, and again with the French authorities on June 6th 1945, at Utah Beach, Saint-Martin-de-Varreville, Cotentin Peninsula, Manche, Normandy, France. Utah Beach in the Dunes of Saint Martin de Vareville, is where on June 6th 1944 the US Army 4th Infantry Division landed as part of the Allied Invasion, or D-Day landings, during the Second World War.
