East facade of the 1st Pylon, built by Nectanebo, 380-362 BC, uncompleted and undecorated, overlooking the Great Court, at the Karnak Temple Complex, Karnak, Thebes, Luxor, Egypt. The mound of earth was used as scaffolding for its construction. The site was developed c. 2055 BC - 100 AD, from the Middle Kingdom to the Ptolemaic Kingdom and most of the buildings date to the New Kingdom, dedicated to the Theban Triad of Amun, Mut and Khonsu.
