Portrait of Abraham Joseph Benard or Fleury, 1750-1822, French actor of the Comedie Francaise, painted 1794 by Francois Pascal Simon Gerard, 1770-1837, in the Imperial Portrait Gallery at the Chateau de Fontainebleau, France. The Palace of Fontainebleau is one of the largest French royal palaces and was begun in the early 16th century for Francois I. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981.
