Octagonal stuccoed ceiling with wide plasterwork frieze, Throne room, 1456, the Alcazar of Segovia, 12-16th centuries, Segovia, Spain. First mentioned in 1122 when Segovia was reconquered by Alfonso VI, the castle was updated in the 13th, 15th and 16th centuries, and the interior, strongly influenced by Moorish style, was restored in the 19th century.
