Nativity, from the Epiphany altarpiece by Jaume Huguet, c. 1450, Gothic tempera painting on wood, in the Museu Episcopal de Vic, specialising in medieval liturgical catalan art, in Vic, Catalonia, Spain. The kings bring gifts for the baby Jesus, wearing pointed black boots over wooden clogs, in the Burgundian style of the 15th century. On either side the distance are depicted Calvary and Jerusalem.
