Anchor, Narbo Via museum, Narbonne
Marine anchor inscribed LPP, oak and lead, 1st century AD, discovered near the ancient quay of La Nautique, at the Narbo Via archaeological museum, designed by Norman Foster, opened May 2021, in Narbonne, Aude, Occitania, France. The anchor is 3.65m high with a central rod with 2 arms and a point reinforced in lead. It was reused in the 1st century AD as a deadweight, to moor ships.
