Arad fort, Muharraq, Bahrain
Arad fort, a small defensive Islamic fort built in the 15th century, in Arad, Muharraq island, Bahrain. The fort was built by the Jabrid Bedouin dynasty to fortify the small island off Bahrain, and it was subsequently taken by the Portuguese and the Persians. The fort was restored in 1980.
