Areni-1 cave, Vayots Dzor, Armenia
Excavations in the Areni-1 cave complex, or Bird's Eye Cave, a 3 chambered karst cave with late Chalcolithic 4300-3400 BC, early Bronze Age and medieval settlements, near Areni, Vayots Dzor, Armenia. Due to unchanging temperature and humidity in the cave, organic materials have been well preserved and archaeologists have found the earliest known show, winery, skirt and human brain.
