Assut de Xerta, aerial view, a dam above the river Ebro and lock across the river, diverting water into canals, at Xerta, Terres de L'Ebre, Catalonia, Spain. The current construction dates to the 19th century and the water is used to irrigate the delta valley, while still allowing boats to pass.
