High relief of the baptism of Christ by St John the Baptist, from the Altarpiece of the 3 baptisms, 1610, attributed to Nicolas Jacques, in the Basilique Saint Remi or Abbey of St Remi, Reims, France. The 11th century, mainly Romanesque, church, contains the relics of St Remi, the Bishop of Reims, who converted Clovis, the King of the Franks, to Christianity in 496 AD.
