Tower and spire of the Basilique Notre-Dame de Fourviere, a basilica church built 1872-96 in Neo-Byzantine style, designed by Pierre Bossan, seen from one of the towers, on the Fourviere hill, originally the site of the Roman forum of Trajan, in Lyon, Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, France. On the right is the Chapelle de la Vierge, topped by a golden statue of the Virgin by Joseph-Hugues Fabisch, 1812-86.
