Journey to Normandy of Harold Godwinson, sent as a messenger to William duke of Normandy by King Edward the Confessor in 1064, with hunting dogs, falcons and followers, detail from the Bayeux Tapestry, a 70m long embroidery, commissioned 1070s, depicting the Norman Conquest in 58 scenes with medieval latin tituli or captions, in the Bayeux Museum, or Musee de la Tapisserie de Bayeux, in Bayeux, Calvados, Normandy, France.
