Ornaments on the fireplace, including calendar, candle and christian and buddhist sculptures, in the bedroom of Pierre Loti, at the Maison de Pierre Loti, home of Pierre Loti, born Louis Marie-Julien Viaud, 1850-1923, French writer and naval officer, in Rochefort, Charente-Maritime, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France. Loti was born in the house and decorated it with collections from his travels in Europe, Arabia and Asia.
