Boudoir de la Reine, Chateau de Fontainebleau
Painted decorative door disguised as a wall panel in the Boudoir de la Reine or Silver Bedroom, designed by the architect Pierre-Marie Rousseau, 1751-1829, used by Marie-Antoinette in the Queen's Apartments, Chateau de Fontainebleau, France. The paintings are by Michel-Hubert Bourgois and Jacques-Louis-Francois Touze. The Palace of Fontainebleau is one of the largest French royal palaces and was begun in the early 16th century for Francois I. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981.
