Caffe Florian, Venice, Italy
Sala Cinese or Chinese Hall in the Caffe Florian, on St Mark's Square or Piazza San Marco, Venice, Italy. This coffee house was founded in 1720 and is one of the oldest continuously operated cafes in the world. It was restored in 1858 by Lodovico Cadorinj and artists employed to paint on the walls. The city of Venice is an archipelago of 117 small islands separated by canals and linked by bridges, in the Venetian Lagoon. The historical centre of Venice is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
