Camp de Rivesaltes, Languedoc-Roussillon, France
The Camp de Rivesaltes or Camp Joffre, a military camp and detention centre built in 1938 in Rivesaltes near Perpignan, Pyrenees-Orientales, France. The camp was originally used to house Spanish refugees fleeing the Spanish Civil War, but during the Vichy regime was used for Jews and gypsies, some of whom were transferred to Auschwitz.
