The Canigou or Pic du Canigou, 2784m, highest summit in the Eastern Pyrenees, and the Canigou massif, Conflent, Pyrenees Orientales, Languedoc Roussillon, France. Called Pica del Canigo in Catalan, this mountain has a special significance to Catalan people. Until the 18th century it was believed to be the highest peak in the Pyrenees.
