Cathedral of St Lawrence, Trogir, Croatia

Bell tower, late 14th - late 16th century, of Trogir Cathedral, or Cathedral of St Lawrence, built 13th century onwards in Romanesque and Gothic styles, in the town of Trogir, on the Dalmatian coast of Croatia, on the Adriatic Sea. The 1st floor of the bell tower is Gothic and built by Master Stejpan and Master Matej in 14th century, the 2nd floor is Low Gothic built by Venetian architects and the 3rd floor is by Trifun Bokanic, 16th century. Trogir was founded by the Greeks in 3rd century BC and ruled by the Venetians until 17th century. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Picture by Manuel Cohen
