Painted ceiling of the Nine Muses by Charles Le Brun, with at its centre, The Triumph of Loyalty, in the Chamber of the Muses, in the State Apartment of the Chateau de Vaux-le-Vicomte, designed by Louis Le Vau, 1612-70, and built 1658-61 for marquis Nicolas Fouquet, in Maincy, Seine-et-Marne, France. The chateau is built in Baroque style, with decoration by Charles Le Brun, 1619-90, and grounds designed by landscape architect Andre le Notre, 1613-1700.
