Ceiling, Grande Galerie, Chateau de Brissac
Painted coffered French style ceiling with 110 paintings of landscapes, biblical and mythological scenes, in the Grande Galerie, or Great Gallery, used for balls and receptions, 17th century, 32m long, which can seat 200 guests for dinner, in the Chateau de Brissac, at Brissac Loire Aubance, Maine-et-Loire, Pays de la Loire, France. Originally built by Foulques Nerra, count of Anjou in the 11th century, the chateau has been the seat of the dukes of Brissac since the early 16th century.
