Chapel Royal, Stirling Castle, Stirling, Scotland
Chapel Royal, built 1593-94 on the orders of king James VI for the baptism of his son Henry, in Stirling Castle, with current buildings dating to 15th and 16th centuries, on Castle Hill, in Stirling, Scotland. The chapel was one of the first Protestant churches in Scotland. The frieze, 1628, by Valentine Jenkin, was painted for an expected coronation visit by king Charles I.
