Ruins of the Chapter House, at the Abbaye de Cluny or Cluny Abbey, a Romanesque Benedictine monastery founded 910, in Cluny, Saone-et-Loire, Bourgogne-Franche-Comte, France. The chapter house was used for meetings and readings and could hold up to 250 monks. Until the 12th century Cluny abbey was the motherhouse for 1, 100 priories and over 10, 000 monks around Europe.
