Chambre du Roi or King's Bedchamber, in the Chateau de Chalais, in Chalais, Charente, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France. The castle was built, between the Aude and Viveronne rivers, in the 11th century, destroyed during the Hundred Years War in the 15th century, and rebuilt in the 16th century. It was the home of the Talleyrand-Perigord family, princes of Chalais from the 14th century to 1883. The chateau is listed as a historic monument. Picture by Manuel Cohen
