Chemin de ronde, Chateau de Sully-sur-Loire, Loiret, France

Chemin de ronde or walkway around the top of the keep, 15m above ground, used as a lookout, for battle and to serve the guards living quarters, at the Chateau de Sully-sur-Loire, begun 14th century by Raymond du Temple for Gui VI de La Tremoille, in Loiret, France. The castle has been home to the lords of Sully, the La Tremoilles and the Bethunes. It is listed as a historic monument and forms part of the Loire Valley UNESCO World Heritage Site.
