Carved cross at Church D, a Byzantine basilica with 3 east-west naves, a central basilica area, narthex, north-south nave, naos, bema or sanctuary and synthranon, at Knidos, Mugla, Caria, Turkey. The church was excavated in the late 1960s and in 2014. Knidos was an ancient Dorian Greek Hellenistic city which was also settled by the Persians, Romans and was Byzantine from 5th century.
