City walls surrounding the old town of Girona, Catalonia, Spain. The walls were built during the 14th century and the sections destroyed in the 19th century have been rebuilt, creating the Passeig de la Muralla. In the centre is the Catedral de Santa Maria de Girona, begun in 1015 in Romanesque style (cloister and bell tower), continued in the 15th century in Gothic style by Guillem Bofill and Antoni Canet (nave) and 17th century with its Baroque facade.
