Columns with Ionic basket capitals, at Zvarnots Cathedral, built 643-652 AD in circular design with columns, under Catholicos Nerses III the Builder, consecrated 652, at the complex of the Monastery of Etchmiadzin, home of the Armenian Apostolic Church, at Vagharshapat or Etchmiadzin, Armavir, Armenia. The cathedral is built on the site of a meeting between king Trade III and St Gregory the Illuminator. The site is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Picture by Manuel Cohen
