Comitium, an open-air public meeting space used for assemblies, built by the Romans after 273 BC as part of the forum at Paestum, an ancient Greek city founded c. 600 BC in Magna Grecia, in Salerno, Campania, Italy. Paestum was founded by the Greeks as Poiseidonia then seized by the Lucanians and Romans from 273 BC. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Picture by Manuel Cohen
