Courtyard of the Al-Nasir Muhammad Mosque, built as a royal mosque by the Mamluk sultan Al-Nasr Muhammad in the 14th century in the Citadel of Saladin in Cairo, Egypt. In the distance is the Great Mosque of Muhammad Ali Pasha, or Alabaster Mosque, built 1830-48 in the Citadel of Cairo. Cairo's historic district is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
