Description of Egypt, compiled during the Egyptian campaign of Napoleon Bonaparte 1798-1801, and published in 1828 in 23 folios, in a cabinet by Charles Morel, in return from Egypt style, in the Salle de lecture or Reading Room, built 1836-37, designed by Alphonse de Gisors, 1796-1866, at the Bibliotheque du Senat, or upper house of parliament, in the Palais du Luxembourg or Luxembourg Palace, in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, France. The palace was designed by Salomon de Brosse and built 1615-45 in Louis XIII style and is located in the Jardin du Luxembourg or Luxembourg Gardens. Picture by Manuel Cohen
