The Diana Gallery, formerly the Queen's Gallery
The Diana Gallery, formerly the Queen's Gallery, 80m x 7m, built under Henri IV, with decoration recounting the story of the goddess Diana, Chateau de Fontainebleau, France. The gallery was restored under Napoleon I and Louis XVIII, and converted into a library under Napoleon III. The Globe was made for Napoleon I. The Palace of Fontainebleau is one of the largest French royal palaces and was begun in the early 16th century for Francois I. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981.
