Dining Room, Chateau de Vaux-le-Vicomte, Maincy
Dining Room, in the Chateau de Vaux-le-Vicomte, designed by Louis Le Vau, 1612-70, and built 1658-61 for marquis Nicolas Fouquet, in Maincy, Seine-et-Marne, France. The panelled ceiling and the wood panelling on the walls with attributes of war and children's games, are both by Charles Le Brun. The chateau is built in Baroque style, with decoration by Charles Le Brun, 1619-90, and grounds designed by landscape architect Andre le Notre, 1613-1700.
