Note signed by Louis Blanc and Lamartine to Le Moniteur, asking them to refer to the provisional government of the French Republic, 25th February 1848, in the Academie de Macon, a society of arts, sciences and literature, founded in 1805 by Alphonse de Lamartine, 1790-1869, poet and author, in Macon, Saone-et-Loire, Bourgogne-Franche-Comte, France. The Academy has been housed since 1896 in the Hotel Senece, built 1706-10 by Jacques Delaporte. It housed the Musee Lamartine 1969-2016 and is listed as a historic monument. Picture by Manuel Cohen
