Passerelle Bichat, a cast iron arched pedestrian footbridge built late 19th century in the Recollets basin, and the Ecluses des Recollets lock, between the Quai de Valmy and Quai de Jemmapes, over the Canal Saint-Martin in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, France. The Canal Saint-Martin is a 4.6km long waterway between the Canal de l'Ourcq and river Seine, built 1802-25 to provide a fresh water source to the city and provide a trade route for canal barges.
