Officer wearing the Gold of Honour, 18th dynasty, painted sandstone, Middle Kingdom, c. 1427-1391 BC, from Qau el-Kebir, in the Luxor Museum, inaugurated 1975, in Luxor, Egypt. The gold collar, bracelets and armlets are the gold of honour, awarded by the king for bravery on the battlefield or great loyalty.
