Cryptoportico at Els Munts Roman Villa with annexed rooms, frescoes and floor mosaic, originally built 1st century AD and rebuilt 2nd century for Gaius Valerius Avitus, duumvir or magistrate of Tarraco, before being destroyed by fire, aerial view, near the Via Augusta at Cap Roig in Altafulla, near Tarragona, Catalonia, Spain. The villa includes a temple, gardens, baths, cisterns and mosaics. Tarragona was an important fortified Roman colony named Tarraco and its remains are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
