Etchmiadzin Cathedral, Vagharshapat, Armenia

Etchmiadzin Cathedral, originally built 301-303 AD by St Gregory the Illuminator and rebuilt from 483 by Vahan Mamikonian until 1868, mother church of the Armenian Apostolic Church, at Vagharshapat or Etchmiadzin, Armavir, Armenia. On the left is the bell tower, built 17th century. The cathedral was the seat of the Catholicos and is part of the complex of the Monastery of Etchmiadzin.
