Ferry arriving at Eminonu with the Galata Tower in the distance, Istanbul, Marmara, Turkey. Eminonu is on the South bank of the Golden Horn at the Southern end of the Galata bridge. The Galata Tower or Galata Kulesi was built in 1348 during an expansion of the Genoese colony in Constantinople, as part of the fortifications of its citadel.
