Gaius Mucius Cordus, or Scaevola, a Roman youth, sacrificing his right hand, relief on the monumental marble fireplace, 16th century, in Mannerist style, in the Grande Salle or Great Hall, in the Palazzo Gio Battista Spinola, or Palazzo Andrea e Gio Batta Spinola, built 1563, designed by Bernardino Cantone, at 6 Via Garibaldi, in the Le Strade Nuove in Genoa, Liguria, Italy. The palace now houses the Circolo Artistico Tunnel, a private members club. The Strade Nuove or New Streets area, housing many palaces or Palazzi dei Rolli, is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
