Fontaine du Roi Rene, Cours Mirabeau
Fontaine du Roi Rene, a fountain designed 1819 by Pierre-Henri Revoil, with statue of Rene of Anjou, 1409-80, holding muscat grapes, by David d'Angers, 1788-1856, on Cours Mirabeau, a 440m long street lined with shops and restaurants, built 1649 along the southern rampart, separating the old town and new town, in Aix-en-Provence, Bouches-du-Rhone, Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, France. The old town of the city is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the fountain is listed as a historic monument. Picture by Manuel Cohen
