Foundation stone with holes made to insert pillar supports for building a peristyle, in the Great Temple or Temple 1, a royal temple built c. 1600 BC on a raised platform, possibly dedicated to the sun goddess and storm god, Hittite, in the Lower City, Hattusa archaeological site, near Bogazkale, Corum, Anatolia, Turkey. Hattusa was the capital of the Hittite empire, built in the late Bronze Age from c. 1650 BC, on an older Chalcolithic settlement founded 6th millennium BC.
