Frankfurter Tor and U-Bahn, Berlin, Germany
Towers of the Frankfurter Tor or Frankfurt Gate, designed 1953-56 by Hermann Henselmann, with an U-Bahn passing in front, on the junction of Karl Marx Allee and Frankfurter Allee with Warschauer Strasse and the Petersburger Strasse ring road, Friedrichshain, Berlin, Germany. The 2 towers of the Frankfurter Tor resemble cathedrals on the square and are fine examples of Stalinist architecture. Picture by Manuel Cohen
