Page from a French-Iroquois dictionary, 1660, a book which took several years to complete, written by Pierre Joseph Marie Chaumonot, from the Archives of the Quebec Seminary, in the Musee de la Civilisation, or Museum of Civilisation, Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. There are 3 different styles of handwriting in the book, so it is believed to have 3 authors. It was taken from tribe to tribe to be compiled.
