French Legation Museum, housed in the historic legation building built in 1841 to represent the French government in the new Republic of Texas, in Austin, Texas, USA. The house is an example of Creole vernacular architecture with its dormers, hip roof and gallery porch, and was possibly designed by Thomas William Ward.
