Last Judgement, or Second Coming of Christ, fresco, detail, in the parecclesion or mortuary side chapel, in the Kariye Kilisesi or Chora Church, a Byzantine church in Edirne Kapi, Istanbul, Turkey. The fresco depicts Christ with the Virgin, St John the Baptist and the elect, with hell below. The church was first built 5th century AD, was converted to a mosque in 1511, became a museum in 1948, then again a mosque in 2020. It is part of the Istanbul Old Town UNESCO World Heritage Site.
