Entry into Jerusalem, with Christ riding a donkey and blessing, with apostle Thomas behind and children laying their cloaks on the ground and others in tree cutting palm fronds, and above, open gates of the city and crowd holding palm fronds welcoming Christ, fresco, 1000-50 by Constantinople artists, on the west wall of the Karanlik Church or Dark Church, a rock-cut cross-in-square column church, 11th century, Byzantine, in Goreme Open Air Museum, Nevsehir province, Cappadocia, Central Anatolia, Turkey.
