Hell, with naked sinners being tortured and killed, including by hanging and disembowelling, detail from Last Judgement, 1306, on the end wall of the Cappella degli Scrovegni, or Scrovegni Chapel, containing a fresco cycle, 1303-9, by Giotto di Bondone, c. 1267-1337, at the Monastero degli Eremitani, in Padua, Veneto, Italy.
