Fresco panel of a temple by a river, with boats and people, in a small room at the entrance to the Casa di Paquio Proculo, or House of Paquius Proculus, Pompeii, Italy. Pompeii is a Roman town which was destroyed and buried under 4-6 m of volcanic ash in the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD.
