Gargoyle in the form of a man and lion, on the facade of the Basilique Notre-Dame de l'Epine, or Basilica of Our Lady of the Thorn, L'Epine, Marne, Champagne-Ardenne, France. The church was built 1405-1527 in Flamboyant Gothic style, is listed as a historic monument and as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage site.
